Hello! I’m Cecelia Ortiz, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master’s in Social Work from Texas State University. My background in behavioral health and facilitating IOP groups has shaped my holistic approach to therapy. I recognize that emotional, psychological, social, and environmental factors are interconnected and impact well-being.
I believe mental health support doesn’t stop at the therapy door. I’m passionate about helping individuals access community-based tools like peer support and other resources that can remove barriers and promote long-term resilience and stability.
I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where you feel truly seen, heard, and respected. I use trauma-informed, strengths-based practices that honor your unique experiences and prioritize your voice in the healing process. Together, we’ll explore evidence-based strategies and tailor acceptance-and-change models to help you deepen self-awareness, strengthen coping skills, and work toward meaningful personal growth.
As a clinician, I frequently incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, which are practical tools designed to help you pause, gain perspective, and access your “wise mind” before responding. These skills can support mindfulness, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance. I enjoy taking therapeutic concepts and breaking them down into real-life, relatable examples. I also like to create fun, visual resources that support different ways people learn, making the information easier to understand and apply in everyday life.
Outside the therapy space, you’ll likely find me buying toys for my cat (Eli), watching a newly released movie, or creating playlists.
Cecelia has a private pay rate of $160/hr.
