"Are you tired of constantly struggling with knowing what the “right” foods are to eat?

Are you especially exhausted by the perpetual, confusing misinformation society and the media are telling you is “right” or “wrong” when it comes to what to put in your body?

I’m so glad you are here and are looking for a dietitian to help! Congrats!

That is the one of the first steps to a healthy relationship with food, and you are worthy of recovery.

A little bit about me:

I am so glad you are here! I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with my Bachelors in psychology and obtained my Masters in Nutrition from Texas State University. I completed my dietetic internship and became a Registered Dietitian. Though many people may call themselves a nutritionist, a dietitian is a nutrition expert who has completed the degree, the internship, and passed the board exam. I am glad to serve as both a dietitian and the Nutrition Director, here at Austin Counseling and Nutrition.

I am one of those unicorns from Austin, TX. I currently live in Round Rock with my husband and step-daughter, who I love to cook for. In my free time, I love trying new recipes to cook, exploring new restaurants around Austin (ask for my list), binge-watching TV and spending as much time with my dogs, Noah and Tucker, as I can!

I am passionate about an anti-diet approach to food and support the principles of Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size®. I love what I do, and am determined to support as many folks as I can in achieving these principles.

I have personally struggled with my relationship with food in the past and body image is a life long journey. I empathize with those that are currently struggling and love helping people find freedom and peace with their food and bodies.

I am a firm believer in a no judgment or shame free zone when it comes to pursuing a healthy relationship with food and body image. It can be a tough road, but it is so worth getting to the other side and learning just how great it is to love food. I would be so happy to meet you and help you get there!

Eating disorder dietitians help people normalize their relationship with food. In Austin, I help people in person work on eating disorder recovery. I also work with people throughout Texas with eating disorder nutrition counseling and body image support.
