I am a born and raised Austinite. I absolutely love this city and all it has to offer. Some of my favorite things are game nights, yoga, camping, and trying new food. I also am an animal lover, music admirer, and movie watcher.

 

I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Nutrition from Texas A&M University in College Station (Whoop!). I then went on to complete my Dietetic Internship in San Antonio Texas through Baptist Health System. Since then I have passed the Commission on Dietetic Registration Exam and have become Licensed in the state of Texas. I am beyond excited to help people with food and all the ways it impacts our life at Austin Counseling and Nutrition. 

 

I initially became interested in the field of nutrition through my enjoyment of food. I grew up with a mom who loved to cook, so I was always in the kitchen helping and learning from her. I personally understand how difficult it can be to have a positive relationship with food. I have struggled with body image and food positivity, so I understand how it can control one’s life. I love helping others and am thrilled to be in this field.

Another passion of mine is teaching yoga. I am certified in Yoga Nidra, which is a sort of mindful meditation. I love bringing this in to sessions to help my clients become connected with their bodies. Feel free to ask me any and all questions about yoga, I am happy to answer them.
