Hi y'all, I’m so happy you’re here! My name is Taylor and I’m a mental health therapist committed to helping individuals improve their quality of life. I am originally from Gillette, Wyoming and moved to Texas in January 2021. In 2019, I graduated from the University of Montana with my Bachelors in Social Work & Psychology, and have since graduated with my Masters in Social Work from Colorado State University in 2020. Shortly after moving down south, I obtained my LMSW in the state of Texas as well!

I have been working in the field since 2018 and have experience serving many different populations and age groups. My primary clinical focus has been centered around helping individuals cope with eating disorders, substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, mood disorders, trauma and family work. I have experience working in residential, PHP, and IOP levels of care as well as medical social work. I would describe my therapeutic style as personable, open, warm, accepting and thoughtful. I will always meet my clients where they’re at and include them while creating a personalized treatment plan.

On a more personal note, I’d like to share why I decided to specialize in eating disorders. Like so many people in today’s world, I’ve had my own battle with disordered eating. I can truly empathize with the emotional and physical struggles that can happen on the journey to recovery, which is why I am committed to helping others learn how to build healthier relationships with food and their bodies. Having a supportive therapist was so crucial in helping me reach my own recovery goals and I would love the opportunity to help others in the same way. I whole-heartedly believe that everyone deserves to feel the freedom of being in recovery!

I am currently seeing individuals in person on Thursdays, and all other appointments are virtual at this time. If you are interested in learning a bit more, or would like to go ahead and schedule an appointment, feel free to call or text the number below to chat! You are also welcome to email me directly at tb@austincounselingnutrition.com.

In our therapy sessions, we'll create a safe and non-judgmental space where you can explore the root causes of your struggles with food and body image. Together, we'll develop coping tools to navigate challenging emotions and behaviors, helping you build resilience and self-compassion along the way. My goal is to support you in developing a healthier relationship with food and yourself, empowering you to live a life aligned with your values and goals!
