Welcome! My name is Maranda. I’m thrilled you’ve stopped by. Finding the right therapist is crucial, akin to finding a trusted partner in your journey toward healing. Let me share a bit about myself to help you decide if we might be a good fit.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a passion for guiding individuals toward their innate resilience. My journey began at the University of South Florida, where I earned my Masters in Social Work in 2015. Growing up in an Army family instilled in me the value of adaptability and resilience, skills I bring to my practice today. My path led me to Texas in late 2018, where I continue to support individuals on their healing journeys.

In therapy, I embrace a strengths-based, solution-focused approach, drawing from research-based interventions tailored to your unique needs. I view therapy as a collaborative partnership, where we work together to achieve your goals while tapping into your inherent strengths.

My background includes working with inpatient oncology and hospice patients, as well as supporting Veterans and military personnel transitioning to civilian life. I specialize in working with adult individuals facing a variety of challenges, including grief, anxiety, depression, chronic illness, trauma, stress management, self-esteem, identity issues, and life transitions.

My dedication to mental health stems from witnessing my own family members’ struggles, driving my commitment to making mental health care accessible to all. I stand as an ally for the LGBTQIA+ community, advocating for body positivity, gender affirmation, and celebrating diversity.

In sessions, I bring curiosity and honesty, meeting you where you are and guiding you through both laughter and tears. I prioritize providing practical resources and skills to address your immediate concerns while delving into deeper issues as needed. Together, we’ll navigate the complexities of your journey with Radical Acceptance, self-compassion, and empowerment as guiding principles.

Outside of therapy, you’ll find me enjoying quality time with my kids and two cats, embarking on road trips, indulging in diamond painting, baking up a storm, diving into a good book, or immersing myself in the magic of live musical performances.

I’m eager to join you on your mental health journey, supporting you as you uncover strategies to move forward and thrive. Let’s take the first step together.
