Hi there!

I am delighted you have found this page. Though I imagine what has led you here has not been at all easy, my hope is that my therapy space brings you the safety and comfort that you need to process the circumstances that brought you here - and the gentle push to take steps toward healing. My belief is that the efforts your eating disorder has gone to in order to cope with the tough things life throws at us have worked for you in some ways, but there are ways they have fallen short. My hope is that as we work together, you’ll learn more about yourself and your eating disorder, and that you'll find ways to meet your needs differently.

A little about me....

I have been in therapy jobs since 2018. After graduating with my Master's, I worked in a private practice in Tennessee before moving to Austin with my husband and our golden retriever, Atlas! I then began working with eating disorders in a PHP level of care, where I gained experience helping individuals, families, and groups in the recovery process. I really believe that recovery is possible, and my own journey of food freedom & body acceptance have been a big part of that. My clients inspire me every day and remind me why I got into this work and why it is so important.

I have loved working with my clients of all age ranges, but particularly have found I'm "in my element" when working with teens and young adults! My therapeutic style is relational, empathetic, and strengths-focused. I believe having a great relationship with your therapist is a huge part of the healing process, so though you’ll learn coping skills, we’ll also discuss your favorite bands, your friends, and your hobbies - and very likely use these hobbies in the therapy room!

My hope is that the safety of my office (in-person or virtual) will be a part of the healing process for you. One of my favorite sentiments I have heard from past clients is “I felt safe with you!" When we feel safe, we can share things we've felt alone in and realize we aren't so alone after all.

Hope to chat with you so soon!
