Therapy in Austin, TX

Hi and welcome! I'm glad you have found my page. My name is Jennifer, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate here at Austin Counseling and Nutrition.

With clients I bring empathy, non-judgment, warmth, and at times humor into the therapy room to help explore the obstacles and barrier leaving clients feeling stuck and lost. No matter what stage of life you are in, together we can learn and develop ways to advocate for yourself, overcome the road blocks in your life, and work towards goals that we can decide together. Therapy can be challenging at times, but you will not be going through it alone. I am here to be your supporter, cheerleader, guide and advocate through the ups and downs of your personal journey.

I work from a humanistic and holistic approach that involves the mind, body, and soul while drawing from different techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Expressive Arts.

I have experience working within a community mental health clinic and juvenile detention center where I have had the privilege to work with clients from diverse backgrounds and various stages in life. While working with children and teens, I have been able to provide tools and support needed to process their personal experiences and guide them during this time full of change and unknown. While working with adults, I have been able to see the impact of vulnerability and how clients are able to develop resilience and a greater self-awareness to jump the hurdles in life. Whether you are seeking services for yourself or a loved one, I hope to build an honest, genuine, and supportive relationship with each of my clients, and provide support and treatment tailored to each client's personal needs.

I am currently accepting new clients and have morning/evening times available both virtually and in-person. If you have any questions or feel like I would be a good fit to support you or your child, please feel free to reach out at the number below to schedule an appointment or a free 15-minute consultation call.
